You are not keeping the option open because you do not know

The relief of not choosing yet

Imagine this.

Your laptop is open. The message is almost finished. One tab holds the option you say you want. Another tab holds an alternative you already know is not right for you.

You read both again. Change one sentence. Ask someone what they would do. Then you close the laptop without sending anything.

For a moment, you feel relief.

That relief matters, because it reveals what the delay is doing for you.

As long as the decision stays open, nobody can judge the choice you made. You cannot regret it yet. You do not have to carry the responsibility of following through. Every possibility can remain beautiful because none of them has been tested in real life.

So the visible behaviour may be comparing, editing or waiting. But underneath it, an older identity may be whispering:

“I am safest when I cannot be wrong.”

That part of you is not weak and it is not trying to ruin your future. It learned that staying undecided can soften the risk of disappointment, criticism or loss.

But there is a cost.

When nothing is allowed to become final, your energy stays divided. You keep returning to the same decision instead of building the life on the other side of it.

AWAKEN: take the decision you keep reopening and answer this without polishing the response:

“What does not choosing protect me from?”

Is it someone’s opinion? The possibility of failure? Having to admit what you truly want? Let the first honest answer be enough.

You do not have to force the decision today. Your movement is to stop calling protection “confusion.” Once you see what the open option is doing for you, you can choose more consciously.

This is exactly the kind of pattern we explore inside Elevate Together. It is a free space with my stories, practical reflection and the 14-day Breakthrough experience, created to help you notice what happens just before you postpone—and practise one different move.

Dûnja
